Website Goals
The 13th of April
Goals are important, really important. We as humans need incentive, drive and motivation. Without that, we we'd be clueless, aimless, directionless drones roaming around with nothing to do. (...Currently me)
I have a lot to sort out in life.. However, despite my strife this site has been a vital source of comfort and inspiration for me. It's my safe place for writing and general creation. While I'm satisfied with sticking to html at the moment, I definitely want to improve my css prowess eventually. This is why I'll be compiling my aspirations and pages I wish to include in future.
- Add more shrines!!!! Doremi Harukaze, Abby Wilde, Helga Pataki tributes, Yumes, Kins. Also pages dedicated to franchises I fancy such as Ojamajo Doremi or OGrady. Pages would include watch guides, overview of favourite characters, episodes and more.
- Label and categorise divs, styles and honestly all the segments to my html.
- Interests page needs to be more concise and include images.
- Add my own art to home page, it's looking rather empty.
- Create my media log. I want to store full on entertainment reviews and essays here. I'll have to work on some texts before anything, I guess.
- Neaten blog section. I want to add tags to entries and a calender for easier accesibility.
- Customise the cursor property with my own vector.
- Create new imood and status cafe and add to left border via iframe.
- Make home page rainbow themed x3 (you can tell I just remodled my Shortaki shrine and went with it HAHA)
- Refine my CSS layout; I want it to be rainbow themed. The themes will be customised for certain pages -like a pink palette for my shortaki shrine.
- Decrease content grid size.
- Code a web friendly version of the site using responsive css.
- Add animation and media players to site via java (script). This is something I will have to learn later on as css is already difficult enough for me.
- Learn basic web design and graphic design in general.
- Add a search bar.
- Add a changelog. This is going to be hard considering I tend to just add updates all willy-nilly. I might do it for any major changes
- MAKE AN FOOTER THAT ACTUALLY WORKS.
- Add an enter page including some eyestrain warnings.
- Lots more.
I'm really really proud of my coding journey so far, I never thought I'd create a site. This is why it is so important to try and fail. Failure always counts as progress. You cannot succeed without errors, in fact you probably fail more than you succeed in life. What matters is that you keep trying and never give up - it's corny but it's true. Each time you fail, you learn something new. I know that's for certain with my website. Anyway, that's enough typing for today.
Sincerely, Zoe
